Market and Competitor Analysis

In my UX research, I analyzed the market and competition to understand user needs and identify key trends such as AI-driven personalization, real-time service availability, accessibility for people with disabilities, and Google Maps integration.

Identification of Gaps and Issues

During my competitor analysis, I identified significant gaps in existing applications, including the lack of real-time updates on ATM availability, limited accessibility features, and insufficient personalized user experiences. These insights guided me in proposing solutions that enhance user satisfaction and accessibility.

Foundation for Further Project Stages

My research findings laid the foundation for the next project stages. I focused on AI-powered personalization, real-time alerts, 24/7 availability, and an intuitive interface to ensure BankLocator stands out from the competition and meets diverse user needs.

Paper Prototyping

I designed the basic layout focusing on advanced filtering options like 24/7 ATMs, accessibility for people with disabilities, and seamless navigation. Key AI features, including personalized recommendations and voice assistant integration, were essential to deliver a user-centric experience.

Guerrilla Testing – Quick Usability Insights

To ensure the best user experience, we conducted quick usability tests with 3-5 users. The goal was to validate search intuitiveness and identify UX pain points. Based on the insights, we introduced key improvements to optimize usability and accessibility.

Key Findings & Improvements

Request a Call Back Instead of Appointment

Users preferred a quick callback option over booking an appointment. Instead of manually scheduling, they wanted an instant request button for a bank representative to call them back.

Improved Search Intuitiveness

Some users were unsure where to start their search, leading to confusion. We refined the search bar visibility and filters to make navigation more intuitive.

Optimized Accessibility Features

Participants highlighted the need for clearer labels and button contrast to improve accessibility, especially for visually impaired users

Faster Access to Branch & ATM Details

Users wanted a more direct path to essential branch information, reducing the number of clicks needed to access key details.

Mobile Wireframes

The wireframes for the smallest viewport (mobile, S) showcase the key screens of the application optimized for mobile users. The layout has been adjusted for comfortable one-handed navigation, with the most frequently used features placed in easily accessible areas.
